The Masterclass range is the result of the finest blended wines from Bouzy – Grand Cru, tied together with a unique ‘know-how’, a high level of craftmanship and the passion of a man for his work – Christian Bannière.

During my long career, I have been able to methodically monitor the technical evolutions in the making of wines from Champagne; I have come to list some observations which had eventually helped me to consistently sharpen my vision. Ackward blendings, lack of accuracy at vinegrowing level and other erratic practices must be totally eradicated; any stage in the making process must be carefully controlled and outclassed, then improved year after year but the actual outcomes must never become a mean to an end.

I am determined to position the Masterclass range amongst the rarest and finest pinot noir based ‘Grand Cru’ Champagnes. Whether it is the best of them all; who knows, I hope so...
